The material is an aircraft-grade, high-density Baltic birch composite,
impregnated with a proprietary, eco-friendly, and non-toxic resin.
Each shelf is a dense monolith built from
up to 350 compressed ultra-thin (1–1.5 mm) vertical wood layers.
Arranged in a non-repeating, perpendicular cross-grain pattern,
this wood-and-resin structure eliminates vibrations on three levels:
Cross-Grain Dissipation, Vertical Energy Drain, Multi-Barrier Damping.
Optimized combination of mass density, structural damping and stiffness
with goal of most efficient dissipation of mechanical energy.
Unlike compliant isolation system, the rigid structure with controlled damping is generally the more defensible engineering approach because it provides stability without introducing low-frequency resonances.
Woodworking joinery
I pay special attention to joints because this is a crucial parameter which makes a significant impact on sound.
